So why buy an actual diaper bag? They’re thoughtfully designed with right-size pockets for essential baby gear, and made with tough material that’s easy to clean—inevitably, milk or juice will spill inside, and crushed crackers will find their way into crevices. Mine has been tossed around in my car, dumped on park benches and dragged across wet grass. I once accidentally left a banana peel in it for a few days. “The diaper bag is for the diapering years,” said Meg Collins, founder of Lucie’s List, a blog that recommends essential baby products for new parents. “It’s meant to keep you organized and sane. You have go-to pockets for your keys, diapers and wipes. You don’t have to think or fumble.” That just may help you escape the house a little more quickly. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/d1/13/ab/d113ab6c1427abe3bbfbc78957566c7b--initials-inc-occasion.jpg
This is one of the trendiest backpack diaper bags available on the market. One of our most popular Pinterest pins of all-time, moms are loving this diaper backpack's styling, features, and versatility. And it's not only available in the style we show to the right, it's also available in black, an adorably flower petal design, and jersey grey. And they all look like really stylish diaper bags; in fact, if it wasn't for their enormous size you might mistake it for a stylish little backpack. Of course, you'll probably have baby bottles sticking up out of the side pockets and pacifiers hanging from clips, so dead giveaway there too. Anyway, this is a feature rich diaper bag that doesn't just look great, it performs great as well. It has 7 pockets on the outside, including two insulated baby bottle pockets, zippered and lined top and side pockets for your keys and wallet, and convenient front pockets with flap closures. And when it arrived it was much bigger than we had assumed based on the pictures; the inside is really large and there are 10 different dividers and pockets for organizing all the stuff you'll be lugging around. It's really nice actually because the diaper bag stands on its own and the front zippered pocket opens up the entire front. But when you do so, it isn't just a big waterfall of your stuff falling forward and out onto the floor. It has a mesh liner on the lower half of the interior to keep things from falling out, and when you combine that with all the different pouches and zippered pockets, you can really do a nice job organizing things in here. There's enough space and dividers to separate diapers, wipes, extra clothing, pacifiers, extra bottles, and more. Speaking of changing diapers, it comes with a cute changing pad that folds up nicely, though it doesn't include any type of diaper/wipe holder for when you want to scurry off to the bathroom with the changing pad, a diaper and a couple wipes. Some other things that it does have, however, include stroller straps (but be careful to only use these on a stroller that is loaded with a baby who weighs enough to counteract the weight of the bag!), the use of vegan leather on the pockets and tassels (so you can look good and feel good about not harming animals to make your bag), and a carrying handle up top. We also loved the bottom, with its thick rubber feet that keep the bag stable and able to stand on its own, while also keeping the fabric material from ever touching the ground. That was pretty clever! Overall, everything worked pretty well and felt decent quality. The zippers weren't as rugged as you might expect from a bag that costs $150, and there are some reports online about seams splitting or ripping after several months of use. We haven't had that issue, but we'll update this review if we do. Also, the shoulder pads could be a bit more comfortable for when you're carrying it for longer periods of time. So overall, if you must have this style and are willing to fork over the cash to get it, this is definitely a trendy diaper bag that is not only super cute but also surprisingly functional and well-designed. We ultimately used the diaper bags in nearly 50 real-world settings in two states, including on airplanes, at the beach, at the mall, at Costco, at an amusement park (where birds landed on the diaper bags and pecked at them), and at the zoo, playgrounds, restaurants, a kids soccer game, museums, the doctor’s office, and the pool. Almost all the diaper bags traveled with us during a family vacation to Hawaii, where it was humid, sandy, occasionally rainy, and about 85 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit on most days. We hung the bags on our stroller—which indeed tipped over several times, though luckily not with the baby strapped inside it!—during long walks, and slung it over our shoulders or backs the rest of the time. In the majority of our outings, we changed the baby’s diaper to see how manageable it would be to set up the changing pad and reach the diapers and wipes. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/32/f6/7f/32f67f318016fbda5458f474df5c886a.jpg

The easiest to clean of all the bags we tested, the Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. was also the most versatile, with adjustable, removable straps that allow it to be carried as a cross-body messenger bag, backpack, shoulder bag, or tote. It was arguably the most stylish bag we picked, and definitely the most expensive. For the extra investment, the Ju-Ju-Be adds features not seen in our other picks, including some handy metal feet that elevate the bag off a dirty surface, and convenient touches like a felt-lined sunglasses pocket. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/96/34/37/963437d57147bb65001f25ed474d259e--cat-eyes-eye-liner.jpg
On the inside of the bag is where "all the magic happens." You have a lot of interior side pouches so you can stash bottles, baby items, sunglasses, -- basically, keep your stuff organized! I used the side pouch to place my wallet so it doesn't get buried! There are 6 of these pouches total so lots of organization room. Then, as if that wasn't cool enough, they have a large zipper pouch. However, it's not just a zipper pouch, it's a THERMAL zipper pouch. This is perfect to carry that baby food, bottle, or even medication! It's lined so if anything spills, it can all easily be wiped down. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/ac/8f/a8/ac8fa8b79d7c2c6515f9c903aa5e98d1.jpg

At the top of the bag, a discreet zippered pocket securely holds your smartphone and keys. Another, much larger zippered pocket that runs across the front of the bag can fit a book or e-reader, large wallet, and other miscellaneous items. Inside the main zippered compartment are two elastic pockets for diapers and wipes, along with two narrow, tiny pockets that could hold pens and pencils for you or an older child (but not much more).

The Jeep Diaper Backpack was roomy, and had plenty of pockets for organization, including a zippered, insulated pocket for a bottle on the side of the bag. But it did not have an open pocket for a bottle, which meant that anytime we needed a drink, we had to remove the backpack from our shoulders and unzip one of the pockets. We ran into the same problem with the Bag Nation Diaper Backpack. Almost identical in design to the Jeep Diaper Bag, the Bag Nation Diaper Backpack also did not have any open pockets, though it did have an insulated pocket for a bottle on the side.
The Zip-Top Organizing Utility Tote (ZOUT) is designed to make life easier for you. With seven exterior pockets, there isn’t much this versatile tote can’t hold. Take it with you on your trip to the beach, pool or park, or add a Fold N’ File to take your office or school work with you while keeping it all organized. Use it as a diaper bag when you’re out and about with the baby. When you’re at home, use it to organize your car, basement, closets, or laundry room. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/eb/47/47/eb474760ab6a7ff5a693e8c274753d94--thirty-one-bags-thirty-one-gifts.jpg
The diaper bag is one of the most important baby essentials for a prepared parent. Once you leave the house, you will need to bring a ton of supplies like diapers, baby wipes, a changing pad, snacks, baby bottles, burping cloths, pacifiers, lotions, diaper rash creams, cloth diapers, and a change of clothes. Plus don't forget your own stuff, like our wallet, phone and keys! The good news is that there are hundreds of baby diaper bags on the market designed to make your life much easier. The bad news is that some of them aren't so great, and some of them are downright ugly! Here is our full diaper bag buying guide.

One of the standout features of the Skip Hop Duo is its combination of 10 open and zippered pockets, which make it the easiest bag for storing and quickly grabbing whatever you need, from a water bottle to tissues to sunscreen. The bag has four external pockets that are great for accessing things one-handed. Two are large front pockets that stay closed magnetically and can hold bottles of milk, other snacks, or diapers and wipes. Competitors’ bags have similar pockets, but the Skip Hop’s stand out for their simple but clever magnetic closure. Two additional elastic mesh pockets on the sides of the bag are capable of securely carrying a baby bottle, a Thermos of coffee, a large adult water bottle, or a big container of sunscreen. We found few diaper bags that have two open, external water-bottle pockets big enough to hold a reusable adult water bottle. Like most diaper bags, the Skip Hop also has an external slot on the back for its included changing pad (which is machine washable). https://i.pinimg.com/originals/3b/8e/6d/3b8e6d908f767876844dd8973f8b9404.jpg

The Land series has a generous insulated front zippered pocket to hold three slim bottles, and an exterior wipes pocket. In the back, it has an additional large zippered pocket, a wet pocket, and a zippered tech pocket. Inside, it has several elasticized pockets and a zippered interior pocket for organizing bottles, creams and the like, and plenty of space in the cavity for clothes and diapers.
This is an excellent backpack diaper bag, and one of the all-around highest-rated diaper bags you can find in the US! And there are some great reasons for that. It's an amazing diaper bag backpack that doesn't stand out as a diaper bag: no excessive patterns or colors that make it obvious, just a simple and stylish diaper bag available in black or heathered grey. And is has features galore: it can be carried with the top handle, as a backpack, and it includes strong built-in straps so you can hang it on the back of your stroller. There are so many pockets, 14 of them in total, there is bound to be one that's the perfect size for what you need to haul around! There is a very large insulated baby bottle exterior pocket on one side, pockets for little things like your phone and pacifiers, larger things like baby lotion and a stuffed animal, and there's an awesome baby wipe dispenser on the side. You won't realize how awesome that is until you fill it up and need to quickly grab a wipe while you're out. Just reach back and pull one out. Simple, and we are starting to wonder why all diaper bags don't have this awesome feature! One thing we were really surprised by is how deceptive the main compartment is: you think it's going to be small but then you open it up and realize it's actually really big. Big enough that we could fit in: The Spectra S2 breast pump and accessories, diaper rash ointment, the changing pad (it's included), burp cloths, disposable diapers (or cloth diapers), and an extra change of clothes. And there was still room to spare. We really liked how large and versatile this backpack diaper bag was in our testing. We also thought the zippers and fabric were high quality, and the fabric seemed to do a decent job repelling water. We didn't rest it in a puddle or anything, but we noticed that splashing it with water didn't get into the bag at all. So, it should be good to go in a rainstorm. It also came with a small diaper tote that's the perfect size to fit a diaper, a small tube of cream, and a couple wipes into; the perfect size for bringing to the changing table. So, overall this is an excellent diaper bag backpack that is versatile and highly functional. Only a couple of small drawbacks. First, there have been reports of quality control issues with this bag. We didn't have any issues, but some moms report ripping near zippers, or the insulated pocket coming apart at the seams. But we want to point out that this company is very responsive to their customers, and they will replace the bag if you have any issues! So that's reassuring. Second, the backpack straps and padding aren't the most comfortable in the world, but we were happy to strap it onto our stroller after our shoulders got sore. We found it online for around $60, which we think is a good price for all this functionality. Interested? You can check out the Bag Nation Diaper Bag Backpack here.
One is a laptop bag that I liked and decided to turn into a diaper bag. It's about the same width and height, but it's only about 4" deep. It could use a few more pockets since it only has the one... the laptop compartment - I use it for diapers, wipes and changing pad. Everything else is in a jumbled heap in the main compartment. Eh, it works. Slightly annoying, but it works. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/27/59/16/275916bb490d7472ddcba93a818ce90f--beauty-makeup-hair-makeup.jpg
