No matter which style you choose, you should think about how you'll be able to put it onto one of our best strollers: down in the stroller's basket, or would you like to hang it on the stroller's handlebars? If the latter, you should go ahead and buy a diaper bag that includes stroller straps, like several of our top-rated bags. We suspect you'll use that feature a lot. Of course, always use caution when hanging the diaper bag on the handlebars of your stroller: when you take your baby out, the stroller will flip over backwards (unless the bag is super light)! So definitely make sure that the stroller you choose has a nice large basket to fit your diaper bag. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/0e/b1/e3/0eb1e3174f0cce27aa234a00156559c1--fossil-handbags-fossils.jpg

To figure out how big of a baby diaper bag you'll need, put some thought into how many things you'll want to be carrying around. It's not just for baby diapers and baby essentials (dont' forget nipple cream, lotions, baby sunscreen, and maybe even one of the smaller best breast pumps), but the baby bag will also be responsible for holding the contents of your purse unless you plan on carrying both the baby bag and your purse around all day (which we don't suggest!). So that means you'll want to make sure the baby diaper bag is big enough to hold all of the baby essentials along with things like your wallet, keys, lip balm, tissues, makeup, sunglasses, and anything else you carry around in your purse on a daily basis. Otherwise it's not really about finding the right diaper bags for moms, it becomes more about shoving in all the baby stuff and leaving mom's things behind!

Seemingly the most common complaint about this bag is that the main zippered compartment is deep, narrow, and simply not big enough. On the plus side, the narrow compartment means that the Skip Hop Duo Signature isn’t too bulky, as many other diaper bags bags we tested were. But it also means that you may end up stacking your stuff in the main compartment, and not having much room for extras. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/b6/c4/32/b6c4323892526f87e1600e521c9e1659--alexander-technique-big-fish.jpg

Convertible diaper bags are designed to be carried in multiple ways, and Ju-Ju-Be’s B.F.F. bag is definitely versatile—it can be carried by its top handle, or worn as a messenger bag or backpack. The straps are made of cushy memory foam and are designed to not slip off your shoulder (something that’s extra annoying when you have a baby in your arms!). https://i.pinimg.com/originals/98/06/fc/9806fc3efe5355fde2e12624c2b3c2ce.jpg

This tote caught my eye on the website with the three separate compartments and extra pockets for organizing, but I really had no idea how much I would love this bag until I took it with me a few times to church and running errands around town.  I can hold EVERYTHING I need in this one bag with room to spare!  My Suite Success Tote was packed to the brim today and I dumped everything out and took a picture to show you how much you can put inside this bag.  I am even missing an outfit (the baby’s change of clothes got used today, and our snacks got eaten before the picture so add that stuff in your mind too.)
I bought the first one to use with my grandson. Since then I have bought another one for me to use on holiday. I’m 60 yrs old & just love this bag. I can have my water bottles in the outside pockets, my medication goes in a pod, my purse in the outer zip pocket & I take it on board with my iPad, books & change of clothes. I always get asked where I got it, I live in the UK & think Skip Hop are missing a trick my not selling this bag for holidays as well as babies. I would love a new colour please.

The solid colors of the Take Two Diaper Bag also make it a cinch to personalize – just choose your favorite thread color and font! Here’s a personalization tip: Your last name or initial work just as well as baby’s name on your diaper bag! The neutral colors also make it the perfect canvas for Icon-Its, or choose a new Floral Letter or Blackboard Initial monogram. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/cd/49/ee/cd49ee5977aaf293fde505bf645262ba--away-we-go-thirty-one.jpg
When the time came to ditch the diaper bag, I jumped for joy. I never liked toting around a huge bag, but was still surprised that even though I now have a five-year-old, we still cart around a lot of stuff! Now that we are involved in school and sports, it turns out I still need a decent bag that’s both functional and stylish. Just as we signed up for the upcoming summer swim team (that requires tons of swim accessories!), one of my favorite companies released a baby line- Baby by Thirty One! https://i.pinimg.com/originals/27/52/b3/2752b3d67abb1dc028a5d6c27beea171.jpg
I just had a party with Monica Nickerson in West Allis, WI. She was the nicest, quickest to respond ...and most helpful women ever! She brought so many fun things to the show and was interested in what we needed. The show was perfect getting us ready for the holidays. I received the order and everything was beautiful! I’ll definitely be hosting again with Monica, she’s delightful and the products are amazing! See More https://i.pinimg.com/originals/7e/19/4d/7e194d979c319c56456897a247321301.jpg
The Ah Goo Grab-and-Go Compact Diaper Bag is a sleek, compact bag with a flip-front messenger style and a roomy single-pocket interior for baby’s essential items. The front pouch is perfectly sized to hold a small tablet, and the velcro-enclosed side pocket fits your phone. The rest of the room is for baby, with a roomy inner pocket lined in antimicrobial material that’s a snap to wash. It can be worn as a wristlet or you can attach it to your stroller for an easy, breezy day on the town without being weighed down.
I spent entirely too much time looking for the perfect diaper bag. I narrowed it down to three and this one was 50% off so I got it! I’ve had it for 3 months with baby and I love it! Has a good amount of room that I can fit all my babe’s items (diapers, wipes, bottles, extra clothes, blanket, changing pad, a toy) along with my wallet, keys & phone. My husband likes that it’s black and doesn’t look like a diaper bag. The ONLY bad thing is I tend to pack heavy when we go on a day trip and when I ... read more Click to read full text of review titled "Perfect size for on the go". https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c6/67/3d/c6673d3dbb4f051e223753cbb480b934.jpg

Reasonably priced and widely available. You can find diaper bags for as little as $15 and as much as $1,500. We opted for a middle ground, and set a maximum price of $200. We focused on popular bags commonly found at major retailers such as Babies“R”Us, BuyBuy Baby, Target, and Amazon. We didn’t find much for $25 and under. “Don’t get taken by a cheap one, because it’s going to fall apart and you’ll need to buy something else,” Meg Collins, founder of Lucie’s List, told us. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/c9/f4/30/c9f430e14b4f7a51971e0c5662165d15.jpg

Also, pick a bag that will last you both in durability and style. If the bag only looks good with certain outfits, you'll find yourself frustrated or wanting to buy multiple bags. A black or red bag, or one with relatively neutral colors/patterns can work with nearly any outfit. Of course, some of the really stylish baby diaper bags can also get really expensive; so maybe dig into some of those gift cards you might have hanging around from your baby registry, or put your favorite on a new baby registry (see our best baby registries here) if you haven't had your baby yet! Finally, it's worth considering a diaper bag that is water resistant, to protect the bag's contents from damage during rain or accidentally being set on a wet surface. The Halova Diaper Bag Multifunction Waterproof Travel Backpack is a great example. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/9f/00/4a/9f004aea3f27021da5813e66f6f0e8c3.jpg
So why buy an actual diaper bag? They’re thoughtfully designed with right-size pockets for essential baby gear, and made with tough material that’s easy to clean—inevitably, milk or juice will spill inside, and crushed crackers will find their way into crevices. Mine has been tossed around in my car, dumped on park benches and dragged across wet grass. I once accidentally left a banana peel in it for a few days. “The diaper bag is for the diapering years,” said Meg Collins, founder of Lucie’s List, a blog that recommends essential baby products for new parents. “It’s meant to keep you organized and sane. You have go-to pockets for your keys, diapers and wipes. You don’t have to think or fumble.” That just may help you escape the house a little more quickly. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/85/8c/5c/858c5c7f61f48c2e534979d026866e59--frugal-tips-girls-night-out.jpg
The Duo, which has been sold since 2003, has been a longtime best-seller from a company that makes almost two dozen different diaper bags. Just about every retailer we visited—chains, boutiques, and consignment stores, plus online retailers—carried this bag. Parents can pick from a dozen neutral or bold, graphic prints, and on some colors the interior is made of a light-colored fabric so that you can easily see what’s inside (not all diaper bags have gotten the memo on this). https://i.pinimg.com/236x/0d/f3/76/0df376ef0096822504c5e6db4ec44026--bracelets-necklaces.jpg
The Skip Hop Duo Signature, at 1¾ pounds, was one of the more lightweight bags we tested, yet it felt sturdy and durable despite being shoved, tossed, and dragged around at the beach, on a 5-hour plane ride, and to the pediatrician’s office. Like the better bags we considered, it can be carried multiple ways: An adjustable, padded strap is comfortable to carry on a shoulder, and its tote handles make it easy to set down on a floor (like the best bags we saw, it stands upright). The secret to its superior accessibility is a perfect combination of open and zippered pockets—it’s the most intuitive and effortless bag we saw for stowing and retrieving water bottles and toys at a moment’s notice, it can keep valuables secure, and it’s clear what goes where in the bag. A wipeable polyester interior is straightforward to clean; within five minutes we removed all evidence of spilled milk and crushed Cheerios left in the bag for 24 hours. With a strong rating across more than 1,000 Amazon user reviews, it’s extremely popular, and at its current price of about $50 to $60, it’s one of the most affordable bags we tested—plus, it has better overall features than other competitors we tested in its price range. https://i.pinimg.com/280x280_RS/b0/de/b7/b0deb796f6dfdcb4b84134105bff6e55.jpg

This is our highest-ranking convertible diaper bag, and we love the style and functionality of this versatile and relatively unisex diaper bag system. The bag converts from a regular over-the-shoulder diaper bag, to a messenger bag, and to a super comfortable backpack with soft shoulder pads. So just when your arm or shoulder is getting sore, you can untuck the backpack straps from the side pocket, and off you go, in style and comfort. But it's not just versatile. This diaper bag is also super functional. It has outside and inside pockets, 3M baby bottle insulator pockets, and clever see-through plastic pockets inside so you can see what you're looking for before you go searching. It's relatively small, but we found it big enough for one baby, and the fact that you can open the main compartment nice and wide really helps you fit all your things in (and prevents you from randomly searching for things). But it does have a few drawbacks, given its high price (like $170). For this price, we would expect a bit higher quality on the fabrics and zippers. They're good, but not quite on par with the heavier duty zippers of a SOHO bag, or the easy-clean fabrics of a SkipHop bag. So while it's on our list of best diaper bags, and we think it's worthy of inclusion, these drawbacks will keep it a bit lower in our reviews and ratings. Interested? We ultimately used the diaper bags in nearly 50 real-world settings in two states, including on airplanes, at the beach, at the mall, at Costco, at an amusement park (where birds landed on the diaper bags and pecked at them), and at the zoo, playgrounds, restaurants, a kids soccer game, museums, the doctor’s office, and the pool. Almost all the diaper bags traveled with us during a family vacation to Hawaii, where it was humid, sandy, occasionally rainy, and about 85 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit on most days. We hung the bags on our stroller—which indeed tipped over several times, though luckily not with the baby strapped inside it!—during long walks, and slung it over our shoulders or backs the rest of the time. In the majority of our outings, we changed the baby’s diaper to see how manageable it would be to set up the changing pad and reach the diapers and wipes.

One is a laptop bag that I liked and decided to turn into a diaper bag. It's about the same width and height, but it's only about 4" deep. It could use a few more pockets since it only has the one... the laptop compartment - I use it for diapers, wipes and changing pad. Everything else is in a jumbled heap in the main compartment. Eh, it works. Slightly annoying, but it works.

This bag is easier to clean than any other bag we tested. A major thing that sets the B.F.F. apart is that this is the only one with the manufacturer’s approval to send it through the washing machine.2 In our 24-hour-old-milk-and-crushed-Cheerios cleaning test, we gave the bag a quick, perfunctory wipedown, then (per the company’s instructions) removed the straps, turned the bag inside out, placed it in a pillowcase, and tossed it in the machine with the rest of our laundry. When we took it out of the wash, all the milk and crusted cereal crumbs were gone, and it was the only one that truly looked spotless after our cleaning tests.
This was especially true when it came to feeding. Originally, I told myself we would breastfeed―exclusively. I had built up the idea in my mind that this was the correct way of feeding my child, and that anything else was somehow cheating. Plus, I love the connection it brought us, and so many of my favorite early memories are just my baby and me (at all hours of night), as close as two people can be as I fed her from my breast. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/cf/8f/69/cf8f69ddac74646f5edcabee5689faa2--great-friends-hold-on.jpg

Diaper bags are specifically designed to schlep all the things you need for your baby or toddler. Chances are, your little angel will surprise you with the biggest, smelliest, most disgusting blowout when you are miles away from home. Diaper bags generally come equipped with a changing pad, and have room to hold diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer and creams, a change of clothing or two, snacks, and a smartphone and a wallet, often in a series of pockets designed with specific items in mind. Some also have external, sometimes insulated, pockets for milk and/or water bottles, and designated straps to hook the bag onto your stroller. (Note: Though the JPMA and Consumer Reports advise against hanging a bag on a stroller because of the tip risk, most diaper bag makers—and parents—ignore this warning). https://i.pinimg.com/236x/f4/64/c9/f464c9caf531f2f49de69b0b3496bfd3--chapped-lips-lip-treatments.jpg
The Nightlight selected the B.F.F. as the best diaper bag and Lucie’s List named it one of its top picks in 2017. It comes in nearly 50 patterns and colors that range from the prim to the nautical, to the adorable (yes, the bag comes in more than one Hello Kitty pattern). In online reviews, owners (mostly moms) rave about the design of its pockets and how easy the bag is to clean. And though there are some complaints that it’s not roomy enough, others say it has plenty of space, even for cloth diapers. “We tried SO many diaper bags before finally investing in this one,” said one owner. “This bag fit all the criteria and more! I can easily fit my cloth diapers, extra outfits, everything for me, her jacket, water bottle, snacks for me, and so much more. I love that it is so easy to care for this bag and I can toss it in the wash.”
Staying organized when you are a parent is no easy feat. This diaper backpack from Graco will make the task just a bit easier with multiple pockets that are made for bottles, burp cloths, and even a wipes dispenser. It also has smaller pockets on the inside to house keys, medical supplies, cell phones, and more. Along with all of the pockets, this diaper backpack also comes with a changing pad which makes changing diapers on-the-go easy.  https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ed/40/59/ed4059556eff72b12a14796446d99859.jpg
Another thing that sets it apart is a high-end look and feel as well as some additional features that are nice but not essential—there’s a set of luggage-style feet that keep the bag up off a dirty surface (a feature no other pick has). There’s a unique velvet pocket that protects your sunglasses, a keyring so you can find your keys in a snap, and two open insulated pockets that are nice for bottles (but honestly they were not amazing insulators). Plus, with details such as gold metal hardware, we thought the B.F.F. looked the most fashion-forward out of our top picks. The construction feels really robust, although you do see some occasional complaints of things breaking that really shouldn’t. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/fc/72/65/fc72654e676fb28086366513b0ad4169.jpg
The DadGear Backpack used to be one of our also-great picks but it was discontinued. We liked the bag’s large size and clever storage (like a chamber dedicated to dispensing wipes.) The DadGear’s flaps zipped open all the way—more like a suitcase than a typical handbag—making dumping out crumbs and cleaning easier. If you somehow manage to get your hands on one we still think it makes a great purchase.

Do you like the SkipHop Grand Central, but think it's a bit too pricey? Then this tote diaper bag is definitely the next-best option for you. This awesome diaper bag, the SOHO Grand Central, is similarly styled with some very similar functionalities, but at about half the price. While the SkipHop has most features integrated right into the bag, this one takes a different approach and has them as separate pieces. There's a separate zippered and insulated baby bottle bag, a separate diaper clutch (for disposable or cloth diapers, of course!), changing pad, toiletries bag, and a little wallet. It has 5 different little bags for various things, it took a while to figure out what it was all about. But once we did, we loved it. Being able to take everything out separately is a different style, but we got used to it and ended up liking it. Going to the register at Starbucks? Just bring the wallet part. Going to a bench to bottle feed? Just bring the bottle pouch. It made some sense, and also made cleaning a bit easier when you can wash each part separately. Like the SkipHop it has zippered front pockets, convenient side exterior pockets for pacifiers, and is overall about the same size as the SkipHop, though the opening did stretch a bit wider overall. It includes some stroller straps, which are a nice touch, though definitely use caution with a heavy diaper bag to prevent the stroller from tipping over backwards. The quality isn't quite on par with the SkipHop, especially in terms of the inner liner, seams, and zippers, but we thought at about half the price it deserved a high spot on our best diaper bags list. Highly recommended! Interested? Check out the SOHO Grand Central diaper bag here. https://i.pinimg.com/474x/59/a5/32/59a5325d239fd184705035d9f1dda986.jpg
