This is our highest-ranking convertible diaper bag, and we love the style and functionality of this versatile and relatively unisex diaper bag system. The bag converts from a regular over-the-shoulder diaper bag, to a messenger bag, and to a super comfortable backpack with soft shoulder pads. So just when your arm or shoulder is getting sore, you can untuck the backpack straps from the side pocket, and off you go, in style and comfort. But it's not just versatile. This diaper bag is also super functional. It has outside and inside pockets, 3M baby bottle insulator pockets, and clever see-through plastic pockets inside so you can see what you're looking for before you go searching. It's relatively small, but we found it big enough for one baby, and the fact that you can open the main compartment nice and wide really helps you fit all your things in (and prevents you from randomly searching for things). But it does have a few drawbacks, given its high price (like $170). For this price, we would expect a bit higher quality on the fabrics and zippers. They're good, but not quite on par with the heavier duty zippers of a SOHO bag, or the easy-clean fabrics of a SkipHop bag. So while it's on our list of best diaper bags, and we think it's worthy of inclusion, these drawbacks will keep it a bit lower in our reviews and ratings. Interested? The diaper bag is one of the most important baby essentials for a prepared parent. Once you leave the house, you will need to bring a ton of supplies like diapers, baby wipes, a changing pad, snacks, baby bottles, burping cloths, pacifiers, lotions, diaper rash creams, cloth diapers, and a change of clothes. Plus don't forget your own stuff, like our wallet, phone and keys! The good news is that there are hundreds of baby diaper bags on the market designed to make your life much easier. The bad news is that some of them aren't so great, and some of them are downright ugly! Here is our full diaper bag buying guide.

When the time came to ditch the diaper bag, I jumped for joy. I never liked toting around a huge bag, but was still surprised that even though I now have a five-year-old, we still cart around a lot of stuff! Now that we are involved in school and sports, it turns out I still need a decent bag that’s both functional and stylish. Just as we signed up for the upcoming summer swim team (that requires tons of swim accessories!), one of my favorite companies released a baby line- Baby by Thirty One! https://i.pinimg.com/236x/38/dc/de/38dcde3cff7b189004c65b8e6c79d98d--cultural-families.jpg
Expecting twins? Skip Hop’s signature Duo diaper bag comes in a bigger model that’s perfect for parents of multiples or those with two under two. The Duo Double’s generous size—it’s 18 inches long and 13.25 inches high—and 16 pockets (including two insulated bottle pockets) make it an ideal diaper bag for parents who need to tote around two of everything. Plus, the Duo Double boasts that it’s the only diaper bag designed for specifically for side-by-side double strollers. (In fact, it’s not for use with single strollers). It also has tote straps and a removable messenger strap, as well as an included changing pad.
I was also sent the adorable icon coin purses to review, and they are so fun!  All of my three kids got one to put on their backpacks for lunch money or chapstick.  They love that they have a special place for their important items and it really helps them to keep track of their lunch money better.  I like that you can mix and match the coin purses with the whimsical characters and bright colors.  They look great on a black bag as a pop of color or on a child’s backpack.  They are also the perfect size for a pacifier holder on your diaper bag!

This is an awesome backpack-style diaper bag that is stylish, durable, convenient, comfortable, and feature-rich. It's a medium-sized diaper bag that you can carry has a hand-tote or as a diaper bag backpack. It has a modern gender-neutral style, helped by the heather gray color, the leather accents, the asymmetrical front pocket, and its vintage style button. It's the sort of bag that both mom and dad will be willing to wear, making it one of the only unisex diaper bags on our list. And it has some great features. First, we loved the side baby bottle exterior pockets, the zippered wipe dispenser on the side, and the hidden pocket on the back (up against your back) that can hold valuables without the risk of pick-pocketing. That's great if you live in the city, or travel to urban areas where that's an issue (like on the subway!). We also liked the substantial padding against the back, to keep things comfortable for longer excursions. It also includes stroller straps on the sides, though we warn you to be careful about attaching diaper bags to strollers due to the tipping hazard. In that regard, it's definitely a good size for throwing into the stroller's bottom basket, but still big enough to hold most of your stuff. Speaking of size, the main compartment is really quite large and is divided well into a mesh pocket area, a zippered pocket, and elastic pockets for holding smaller items. We were able to fit everything necessary into the bag without any issues. It's great to have a nicely divided main compartment, to prevent things from sinking down to the bottom and remaining elusive in your desperate search for that last clean pacifier! We also want to point out that this company is very responsive to customer concerns. This is their third version of this great diaper bag, with improved stitching and reinforcements based on customer feedback (and if you have the older version with an issue, you can email them and they'll send you the newer one for free!). And the price is right too, coming in around $40. So, if you're looking for the comfort and convenience of a backpack, this is a great option! Note that we also checked out the HapTim Multifunction Large Baby Diaper Bag Backpack, which is very similar and very highly recommended. Interested? It has plenty of interior and exterior pockets to organize all our stuff (even for all 3 kids). It has shoulder straps and a removable cross-body strap, it has clips to attach it so a stroller, it zips closed (and has a couple zippered outside pockets), it’s big enough but not TOO big, and it’s super cute! In fact, most people don’t even realize it’s a diaper bag until they see the sippy cups popping out! https://i.pinimg.com/236x/ab/94/8d/ab948d9ea49af591f2dd1a1d947181a6.jpg
There are elastic holders on one of the sides for two water bottles or baby bottles, plus lots of pockets to organize everything.  I really like that there is a thermal lined pocket on the inside of the tote for a sandwich or some cheese sticks.  It is big enough to hold lunch for one or snacks for 4.  It really makes this bag an all-in-one option so you do not need to take a lunch bag or cooler unless you need more than a snack or single lunch.  The middle compartment has a zipper closure that I keep my personal items in like my wallet.  I like that I can zip it up and know it is secure but then the compartments on either side are open for easy access to wipes, or toys that I may need to grab quickly.  https://i.pinimg.com/236x/8e/cf/03/8ecf034c96a5f620f31ea86fd147eacd.jpg
"As a single parent of two children going to school full time, I wouldn't be able to come to school and afford for childcare," says Michelle Trinidad, a student at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) and parent to a 4 and 5-year-old. "Thank goodness for BMCC Early Childhood Center that is very much affordable. It gives me the opportunity to advance my career and be confident that my son is in good hands. School is hard enough on its own, having reliable child care means a lot to me and my children."
The plan is a part of Cuomo's 2019 women's justice agenda, legislation that addresses the gender wage gap, as well as economic and social justice for all New York women. According to a 2017 report from the Institute for Women's Policy Research, 11% of undergraduates, or 2.1 million students, were single mothers as of 2012, which has doubled since 2000. Additionally, that same study found that 4 in 10 women at two-year colleges say that they are likely or very likely to drop out of school due to their dependent care obligations. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/fa/00/bf/fa00bf600b09e21ae64f8bde67c2b6b7--fireplace-cleaning-glass-fireplace-doors.jpg
We did not consider cult-favorite brand Timi & Leslie because almost all of its bags are made with leather and weigh 2 pounds or more. The OiOi and JJ Cole diaper bags are also on the heavier side, according to their online specs. We were intrigued by some of the newest diaper bags available, such as the Boken Diaper Bag, a lightweight, convertible diaper bag, and the Paperclip Diaper Bag, aimed at dads, with a built-in changing station for when a changing table isn’t available in the men’s restroom. (Like the Petunia Pickle Bottom boxy backpack, the changing pad folds out from the front of the bag; the Paperclip also has a wall on both sides.). Unfortunately, enough customers complained about broken zippers with the Boken Diaper Bag that we decided to hold off on field-testing it, and at the time of our review, the Paperclip Diaper Bag cost over $200. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/f4/f5/d7/f4f5d7c98ec77306c41b447dcd43447a.jpg
Sold at Nordstrom and other upscale retailers, the Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags (and backpack diaper bags) are among the most popular, super-stylish, and high quality diaper bags available on the market. The styles are awesome and range from quilted black with gold trim, to flowers and abstract watercolors. The designs are subtle and give the bags a high-end look. And the price tends to reflect that, with this Boxy Backpack model coming in at just over $150, making it the most expensive diaper bag option on our list! Its price is almost justified by its high quality and functionality. The bag we tried, the Indigo model pictured to the right, was made right here in the USA of cotton canvas that has a durable glazed coating on it for stain and water resistance. For functionality, this bag is really large, coming in at about 0.90 cubic feet of capacity. For pockets, there are several inside (8 of them), including two with zippers, and 3 outside (two for baby bottles on the side, and one larger one on the front that holds the included diaper changing station and pad). So, there's tons of space inside, and plenty of pockets for organizing baby care products, and the top opens up nice and wide for easy access. In terms of versatility, it also has several carrying options. You can carry it like a tote using the top grab handle, or use it as an over the shoulder diaper bag, backpack diaper bag, or attach to the stroller using the included stroller straps. It looks best as a shoulder diaper bag, but when you get sore it's great to have the option to wear it as a backpack. In our testing, we found the bag to be generally high quality, stylish, versatile, functional, and really large. It stands on end on its own, which is really nice - in other words, it doesn't tend to topple over like some other diaper bags. Maybe that's why it's called the Boxy model since the bottom is pretty boxy and stable. We also liked that it came with a sleek plastic baby wipe holder or diaper tote that made trips to the changing table much easier. There's really a lot to love about this diaper bag - but is the price worth it? Well, there were some limitations to the bag we purchased for testing. First, we were surprised that there was no insulated pocket for bottles or foods, not even the bottle pockets on the sides have any insulation. Second, the fabric is available in cotton canvas, embossed stitching, and a plush chenille. We actually only tested the cotton canvas, but we made the mistake of putting it in the washing machine after a milk spill, and the bag fell apart a bit - some of the stitching came loose, and it seemed like the bag lost some of its water resistance. So that was a bummer. Finally, the backpack straps aren't padded so they're not the most comfortable straps in the world - same with the shoulder strap. So definitely some limitations that might make you reconsider whether the style and Petunia Pickle Bottom name recognition are worth the price? We'll let you decide! Interested? Diapers, wipes, extra clothes, changing pad, feeding supplies, ointments, burp cloths: this is just a sample of the items that you cannot leave the house without when you have a baby. A Thirty-One diaper bag is the perfect solution for organizing all of your baby's essentials so that you can easily find what you need. The Thirty-One organizing utility tote measures approximately 10.25 inches in height, 15.5 inches in width, and has a diameter of 6.5 inches. It is a medium-sized bag great for holding baby's items and a few items of your own. If you have multiple kids, need to haul toys and sporting items, or want to use the bag as a purse and diaper bag, the Thirty-One large utility tote fits your needs. It is about 11.75 inches in height, 21.5 inches in width, and 10 inches in diameter. The reliable sellers on eBay offer Thirty-One products in many different prints and patterns, ensuring that you find something that fits your style. When you have a baby, a bit of organization is key for making your day go as smoothly as possible. With a Thirty-One diaper bag, you can be organized and stylish as you go about your day.
I have a JJ Cole bag, it's about the perfect size... maybe a little big now that DS is getting older and doesn't require so much stuff. It's 17" wide x 13" tall x 6" deep. I gave that one to my mom so she has a diaper bag (she watches DS during the day). It worked, but I never really did like it. I don't really like the tote style bags. I think they're kinda awkward.
Does anyone else plan on using or have used a thirty one bag as their diaper bag? If so which one and how has it worked out for you? I absolutely love the idea of being able to personalize my diaper bag with the name and colors! But I'm not sure exactly what size I'll need to buy or which would be a better bag. I have a few ideas in mind though, i'm deciding between the utility tote, cindy tote or the retro metro bag. they're all too adorable and so many ways to personalize which is the best part about them! Such a tough decision, so many options Also what is the most important thing you're looking for in a diaper bag? https://i.pinimg.com/474x/3d/50/96/3d50966f1f36b4b8c9e3ad87be501644---gifts-thirty-one-gifts.jpg
I spent 10 hours examining nearly 100 top-selling diaper bags online, reading hundreds of user reviews, clicking through nearly a dozen diaper bag slideshows and checking out dozens more dad, gay dad, mom, parenting and fashion sites (even celebrity mommy blogs like Tori Spelling’s ediTORIal). I stopped random parents at a tae kwon do studio, a yogurt shop, and the playground and asked them about their diaper bag. I also informally polled more than 60 moms and dads via social media and other online parenting forums, chatted with employees at four local baby stores, and interviewed parenting blogger Meg Collins of Lucie’s List. I also spoke with Diaper Dude’s founder, Chris Pegula, and representatives of other diaper bag companies.

Expecting twins? Skip Hop’s signature Duo diaper bag comes in a bigger model that’s perfect for parents of multiples or those with two under two. From the moment we opened the box, we fell in love with this top-rated Skip Hop diaper bag! It perfectly demonstrates the intersection between style and functionality. For moms with style, it uses a classy New York style colors and black stripe pattern, with light brown leather accents. We loved the look of this tote diaper bag style. But we were even more impressed by the functionality. This baby diaper bag gets things done. It is big, well-made, and has a ton of pockets (11 to be exact). For pockets, let's start on the outside: it has insulated side pockets that were big enough to fit even the widest baby bottles and keep stored at a nicely controlled temperature. Above those on the sides are some small pockets that were very easily accessible and perfect spot for keeping pacifiers. On the front, it has zippered pockets, which we thought were great for mom's personal stuff: car keys, a small wallet, or cell phone. The inside is vast and well-lined for durability and easy cleaning. It has a huge center space, which is perfect for diapers, wipes, changing pads (it comes with a great one!), and toys. A clever divider is put in between the outside handles and the main inside space, which provides even more storage space. These were great for more upright things that you want to slide up & out quickly like diaper cream, sunscreen, and lotion. Overall, we absolutely loved this bag, and it performed very well in our testing for durability, and we think it is very deserving of this spot on our diaper bag list! Cons? A bit pricey, usually around $75. Highly recommended! Interested? Check out the SkipHop Grand Central diaper bag here.

The Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack is a common competitor to the Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F., and it offers many of the same advantages: It can be converted into a backpack, messenger, or shoulder bag, though the straps are not padded and can’t be removed like the B.F.F.’s. We liked the metal keyring, a feature that we also found in the B.F.F. but didn’t find in the other bags we reviewed. (The DadGear Backpack has a plastic key ring, but its quality was not as nice.) We especially liked the Boxy Backpack’s changing station: a cushioned changing pad folds out from the front of the backpack, revealing two elastic pockets that hold the diapers and wipes. With everything in one place, diaper changing with a squirmy, uncooperative baby was more manageable than with any of the other diaper bags we tested. Unfortunately, the Petunia Pickle Bottom has only two small open pockets, which aren’t big enough to accommodate a reusable water bottle (you can shove a disposable 16.9-ounce plastic water into the pocket, but it’s a tight fit)—and these outside pockets proved extremely useful on our other picks. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/3f/9c/32/3f9c328f9d6e585f75dcb8a789a34b59--event-planning-design-wedding-details.jpg
The Carter’s City Tote was the largest tote we tried, and it was the one we used one afternoon when we needed to pack extra clothing for three kids instead of just one. Our chief quibble: The six pockets inside the main compartment are confusing. Labeled “bottles” on one side and “my stuff” on the other, the interior pockets were not wide enough to fit our wipes and diapers, which meant they got dumped in the main compartment with everything else. In addition, though the Carter’s City Tote was the most lightweight bag we tried (8 ounces), the downside of a large tote like this one is that if you fill it to capacity there is more risk of overfilling the bag so that it becomes especially heavy to carry on your shoulder. With unpadded straps, that’s uncomfortable.
Another thing that sets it apart is a high-end look and feel as well as some additional features that are nice but not essential—there’s a set of luggage-style feet that keep the bag up off a dirty surface (a feature no other pick has). There’s a unique velvet pocket that protects your sunglasses, a keyring so you can find your keys in a snap, and two open insulated pockets that are nice for bottles (but honestly they were not amazing insulators). Plus, with details such as gold metal hardware, we thought the B.F.F. looked the most fashion-forward out of our top picks. The construction feels really robust, although you do see some occasional complaints of things breaking that really shouldn’t. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/fc/72/65/fc72654e676fb28086366513b0ad4169.jpg
Personally, I’m the mom of three; my youngest is 18 months old (as of publication) and still in diapers. I’ve changed my three kids’ diapers on the dirty floor of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, on airplanes, at Target, and in too many other public places. My journalism background includes stints at the San Francisco Chronicle and other major newspapers, and I have reported on family and parenting for publications such as Family Circle, Working Mother, and Salon.
After carrying a dozen top-rated diaper bags on nearly 50 assorted outings for more than a month, we’re sure the Skip Hop Duo Signature is the best diaper bag for most parents. This versatile bag makes it easier to store, organize, and quickly access all your necessary baby gear than any other bag we tested. It has nearly all the features of a great diaper bag at a price as low as almost everything else out there.
My kids are no longer babies nor am I expecting, but my plans were to use this bag as an everyday bag/purse. The bag is large, but not overdoing it. The style and shape are honestly perfect and does not reflect the appearance of a standard diaper bag - which is why I believe it makes it so much more appealing. You have a lot of pockets and organization space, a HUGE plus whether you're a mom or just a busy woman always on the go. The outside of the bag has 5 large pouch pockets and 1 cell phone pouch, which is a signature design of Thirty-One bags. The way it is styled, you have 2 pouches on one part of the bag, one pouch on each side (perfect for drinks, bottles, etc), and then a large snap pouch on the back of the bag. Above that is where cell phone pouch is located. So a lot of places for when you have to "grab and drop" things in the bag and don't have time to actually put them away. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/71/d8/67/71d8677a583a7d515e8b54e42f125e8b.jpg

Beyond comfort, the B.F.F. earns its name thanks to its multiple mom-friendly features: Teflon-treated, stain-repelling outer fabric, an antimicrobial interior lining that reduces odor-causing bacteria and mildew (in case, you know, a bottle spills and you forget about it), and the ability to toss the whole thing in the washing machine if, despite all of the above, it needs a good cleaning.

Interested? One of the standout features of the Skip Hop Duo is its combination of 10 open and zippered pockets, which make it the easiest bag for storing and quickly grabbing whatever you need, from a water bottle to tissues to sunscreen. The bag has four external pockets that are great for accessing things one-handed. Two are large front pockets that stay closed magnetically and can hold bottles of milk, other snacks, or diapers and wipes. Competitors’ bags have similar pockets, but the Skip Hop’s stand out for their simple but clever magnetic closure. Two additional elastic mesh pockets on the sides of the bag are capable of securely carrying a baby bottle, a Thermos of coffee, a large adult water bottle, or a big container of sunscreen. We found few diaper bags that have two open, external water-bottle pockets big enough to hold a reusable adult water bottle. Like most diaper bags, the Skip Hop also has an external slot on the back for its included changing pad (which is machine washable). https://i.pinimg.com/originals/3b/8e/6d/3b8e6d908f767876844dd8973f8b9404.jpg
The Skip Hop Duo Signature won’t be roomy enough for everybody. It’s big enough for everyday use if you have a single child in diapers, but could feel too cramped if you have more than one young child, are using cloth diapers (which take up more room), plan to travel frequently, or want to carry personal belongings such as a laptop in your diaper bag. When I used the Skip Hop as my carry-on during a several-hour flight, adding my laptop and some basic toiletries to its usual contents, I could barely zip the main compartment. If you’re seeking more space, consider our backpack pick. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/0f/9c/1a/0f9c1a204ac11e0c20157ef442d11151.jpg

Additionally, many view campus childcare as a safe haven for college students. "During my 18 years working in campus childcare, I have witnessed how the student-parents can complete their courses and stay focused by having childcare on campus," says Sori Palacio, a Head Teacher at BMCC Early Childhood Center. "Parents usually express how thankful they are for having their children traveling with them to school as well as having their children nearby while they complete their degree. They concentrate in academic work without worrying about their child's wellbeing. This service helps the entire public by preparing more people to serve the community."

Just as we signed up for the upcoming summer swim team (that requires tons of swim accessories!), one of my favorite companies released a baby line- Baby by Thirty One! https://i.pinimg.com/236x/46/6b/f7/466bf7ecb298b345300fd7bab13173e1--guatemalan-textiles-boho-bags.jpg
